Who causes pain ?

There is a veeeerrrrrryyyy sharp edge between whose power is behind what God allows. On the one hand, anything that befalls a Believer who is truly walking with the Lord "must" be allowed by the Lord before anyone, even Satan, can cause harm or pain. The problem is sometimes difficult to judge in that sometimes we don't really see how we're the cause and we're getting the consequences Vs God, whose "thoughts are not our thoughts" (i.e. he don't think like we do) allowing something for a near-term pain to produce something in us that He knows can only be produced through pain.

Other times, he must deal with the reality of who we are and how we think....i.e. God placed a "thorn in his side" lest he be filled with pride. Other times God may either cause or allow something to bring "Eternal" consequences that bring others into the Kingdom that otherwise would have been condemned in Eternity.

You see, from God's perspective, our pain is only temporary, even if it lasts all our life....and its a small price, no matter what the price, for Eternal fellowship with the Holy One. Since true Wisdom is "looking at life from God's point of view", then we can never understand all the purposes of pain but we must trust that "if we truly strive and walk with him" there is a purpose we do not and may never understand, until we are with Him bodily, then we can "ask".....and many will and He will answer.

   As to who "causes pain", well its Satan, Sin, Man, Woman......in that order; but Romans 8:28 means "all things" not just some things so its just a perspective of "who is really in charge"......
